Yeah they got tired of having different setups running. I stopped updating since the update before this one. That update before this one removed the ability to install Linux or use Linux if you already installed it. Personally I don't have linux installed on my PS3 but I want the option in case I do. This update just adds support for 3D games and will lead to 3D movies. Again I could care less, because I will never buy a 3DTV. Instead once my HDTV goes, I will happily get a better one as those get huge discounts while they rake the money in on the 3D ones.
