Video Editing Fraud: Fox News and Acorn

I don't typically like to get in the middle of political discussions or anything like that, but I couldn't help but to pass it on (as this is technically less political and more exposing piss poor journalism).

Fox News aired a series of videos of two people supposedly dressed as a pimp and a prostitute going to Acorn employees asking for advise on how to smuggle women into the country, or how to setup a prostitution ring.  These videos were aired for months on Fox and led to the eventual downfall of Acorn in general.  However, an investigation by the California Attorney General's office shows that the tapes that were aired were very heavily edited to make it look like Acorn employees were advising illegal information, when not only were they NOT doing so, in one case an Acorn employee even reported the two individuals to the police..

I'm not saying that Acorn certainly hasn't made mistakes in the past, but the airing of these blatantly edited videos is just inexcusable.

Maddow who works at MSNBC, which is a center for the Left just as much as Fox is for the Right.

And do you realize that the California Attorney General you mentioned involved in the investigation, Jerry Brown is a Democrat running for C. Governor?

The video that is shown on the website shows bits of the video that were specifically edited.  And of course they would have something to gain by showing up fox, but the video evidence that they at least do show is pretty bad.

Yes, the ACORN videos were so fraudulant that they led to the firings (and still fired despite this shocking revelation of them being faked!) of many of their employees and staff involved in the videos.

But there would'nt be bias of investigations into their many scandals, because they don't turn out voters for Democrats at all:

But why would he do that? it's not like he is wanting to run for office, and would be pooling on ACORN (New name now) driven voter fraud numbers anyways.

I'm trying to figure out what you are ha haing about, the wikipedia article states that there were nonprofessional actions by low level acorn employees and that in exchange for immunity from prosecution the people behind the tapes handed them over to the attorney general.

How does any of that negate the fact that Fox regularly gets their balls busted for showing footage that is heavily edited, misleading or flat out false?

You can show other media outlets doing it if you like. I'm sure they do, and frankly I don't care because I don't have any vested interest in any news station.
