Alright guys, just got done watching this fantastic video on my country's Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Admendments.
There's usually some heated rhetoric on this forum about such issues of government, i.e. contrasts between Communism, Socialism, a Republic, Democracy etc. and I figured some of you might want to take a look at this, to be primed for debate
Now I want to warn you that this is an 8 hour video class segmented into hour long sections, which is about as brief a synapsis as could be done on it, so some of you might not have the attention span required for it. Maybe watch it in daily segments if you can, but it's great.
Hopefully some of you will be able to watch it in it's entirety, and if you do, you will be entertained and shocked at some points and learn many things about it including:
1. The differences between Rights and Priviledges.
2. Why Healthcare is NOT a Right.
3. Why the two party Democratic/Republican system is detremental to the U.S.
4. That the U.S. is NOT a Democracy.
5. That the Right to keep and bare arms is for We the People, and NOT referring to the National Guard.
6. Other Rights and/or Priviledges you will be shocked to learn that you do not have as a "U.S." Citizen.
Certainly if you are not a citizen of the States, you might be interested to learn of such things as well, and might learn from this why our educated Citizens are often "Gung-ho" about our Union.
Anyways, hopefully some of you will be able to find interest in it. Part of the first vid is rather an into, but it does get entertaining..

We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid any more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior and secure the blessings of debt free liberty to ourselves and our great great-great grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, and other liberal bedwetters.
We hold these truths to be self-evident: That a whole lot of people were confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim that they require a Bill of Non Rights.
ARTICLE I -- You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV or any form of wealth.
More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.
ARTICLE II -- You do not have the right to never be offended.
This country is based on freedom, and that means the freedom for everyone, not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc., but the world is full of idiots and probably always will be.
ARTICLE III -- You do not have the right to be free from harm.
If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful. Do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.
ARTICLE IV -- You do not have the right to free food and housing.
Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generations of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes.
ARTICLE V -- You do not have the right to free health care.
That would be nice but, from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in government run health care.
ARTICLE VI -- You do not have the right to physically harm other people.
If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.
ARTICLE VII -- You do not have the right to the possessions of others.
If you rob, cheat or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen TV or a life of leisure.
ARTICLE VIII -- You don't have the right to demand that our children risk their lives in foreign wars to soothe your aching conscience.
We hate oppressive governments and won't lift a finger to stop you from going to fight, if you'd like. However, we do not enjoy parenting the entire world and do not want to spend so much of our time battling each and every little tyrant with a military uniform and a funny hat.
ARTICLE IX -- You don't have the right to a job.
All of us sure want all of you to have one, and will gladly help you in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful.
ARTICLE X -- You do not have the right to happiness.
Being an American means that you have the right to pursue happiness -- which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.
If you agree that a understanding of no rights is necessary to "Secure the Blessings of Liberty," I strongly urge you to refer this to as many people as you can, or link it from your own webpages. No, you don't HAVE to .... Nothing tragic will befall you should you NOT refer it. I just think it's about time common sense is allowed to re-emerge in our society and flourish again. Thank you!!!

I could go on to explain how this one is just as dumb, since we gain all sorts of things from our government that aren't specifically spelled out and there are all sorts of laws in place that contradict it but you'll probably just try and turn it in to some argument about how I need to lrn2read since you are only saying that we don't have guaranteed rights to them.

First of all the definition of "welfare" has different meaning than by todays standards. When they wrote it did it mean giving out tax exemptions and foodstamps to people? FUCK NO. Did our country act as such and distribute tax exemptions and foodstamps to people after our founding? FUCK NO.
Social "Welfare" by today's standard wasn't a concept until proxy 1930's when King Socialist himself FDR, pushed it onto the people, though not exclusively him as there were others.
But that's all irrelevant since what matters is to where the general welfare is being addressed.
Does it say that it's for
We The People
? NO. Does it say that it's for
Citizens of these united States
? NO ("united" is lowercase for a reason)
it say's "United States" which according to Constitutional law, on which the Amendments and Con. is based, this means the Federal government. In fact the arguement of the clause is not about foodstamps, it's about whether it grants the Fed too much power.

My main problem is you use or will use public libraries, roads, public education and police forces while crying about things that aren't guaranteed. Drop off the grid and you will have some degree credibility to your argument. This is almost as funny as the rhetoric anarcho-primitivists come up with.

I'd say you have alot of problems if for one you think you can forecast the future, and answer my opinions for me.
First of all, libraries are just as enjoyable if not more so if they were private, along with all other education. Why the fuck should I have to pay for little brats to go to school when I don't even have any of my own.
How about the Fed not robbing me on my check for public funding, so I can pay off my house or other expenses, at which time I decide to have kids I don't have to deal with debt. Do you realize our has country operated without an overbearing income tax, and that people actually got to own their own things much more easily?
Furthermore, how many social programs are even fucking working at this present time, and how much debt have we accrued as a result of? We didn't always have these social programs nor the problems and debt as a consequence from them.
Who wins the national contests these days anyways? Private school and home school kids are winning the Spelling Bee's etc..

i'd be more than fucking happy if I could keep all of my check from the Fed, pay for state dues, and pay for everything else on a single basis.
