I had mentioned something about it before, but i'm seriously thinking about doing this after i'm done with the current mod project.


The platform, Mount and Blade is fixing to release an expansion which will support 32 vs 32 multiplayer. It's a medieval game platform, but can easy be converted. It's had a release for a ww2 mod, so there won't be any problems for me to put projectile weapons together.

Somewhat restricted:

It would be mainly infantry based, seeing as I could only convert the only means of transportation, a horse, into something such as a hoverbike or basilisk if you will. Could probably do some fixed gun emplacements though. Certainly no aircraft. If a proper set of tools which allows me to edit the hitboxes is released with the expansion, then I could potentially make varied vehicles.


Fairly simple:

What I will have ease to do is working with scenes. I was always disappointed with the base formats on PS, and now with control, the concept of a PS base could be entirely redone.

I always imagined some full cityscapes with house to house combat, and cleaning out enemy infested mini skyscrapers


Factions, armors, weapons.. all that could be done to custom standard, allowing for new weapons, armors, and even new factions. Theres always the option for me to see If I can dig out content from PS, and convert it M&B engine, though it wouldnt be so difficult to just make new armor, as the engine is better graphics capacity than PS as it is.


I'm kinda jonesin' to put together a proto TR trooper set atm  Wink

Anyways it's food for thought.

it seems as though there will be AI troops allowed in addition to the human player cap.

I would imagine that each player would get x-amount of bots to use, so we could very well be talking hundreds vs hundreds with bots and humans totalled.




I could do a couple things with that, making the AI troops human mesh or make them actual bot meshes, like hover kill bots or terminator type humanoids.

Have some I-Robot looking troops to command around

Actually I was thinking rather that Auraxis theme, the concept can be about events transpiring back on the Terran home planet.


Could be like a Terran Militia, vs A Police coup force, vs some sort of corporate separatists.

Would be llike a civil breakdown on the order of what happened after arriving at Auraxis, just back at home.

M&B has somewhat of an RPG aspect to it, which could work like current planetside concept progression. Not sure the depth of how it works for M&B expansion, but I know for sure that there is progressive data saved on the servers.


This is a pic of stats page taken from the mod im working on now, which is set in a post Alexander era, but it gives an idea of character dynamics of the game, and capacity to specialize.



So you can see there is some depth to progression of the game, and for developing would be specialized characters.

Could for example make 2 types of AI troops for the matches. One being human bots, and the other mechanical bots. And the amount and quality of human bots would be based on Leadership, whereas the amount and quality of mech bots based on engineering etc.

So to polarize the two different skills into uniquity, I could for example make a paper/rock/scissors type system where energy weapons would be most effective vs mech bots, whereas projectile weapons most effective vs humans etc.


I might put together a little alpha mockup of TR suit here in the next few days.
