Big Ben is a great quarterback in the fourth, still hard even for be as a steelers fan to say greatest. I think if he gets another superbowl win he would be eligible for the hall of fame, but not top 10 QB status. He is mostly overshadowed by the steelers defense, legal issues, and personality issues. I hope steelers win Sunday. I hate the Jets more than any other team. I would be ashamed to be a fan of the team that let the Jets into the superbowl. This is a last ditch hope for Jets. They spent so much money and brought in "near retirees" this year, if they fall short, in 2-3 years they will be an under .500 team.

Snackcakes, I am kinda curious what is the reason you def do not like the steelers? (interested because you said you don't really follow it)

I was reading a tech blog review of a laptop earlier, and it brought up an interesting metaphor comparing the hate Apple products get much like "how a Yankee and/or Steelers fan always has plenty of people hating".

In addition studies showing every time a team wins a championship they gain fans for a certain percent, but also a near equal percent to people that will hate that team. It seems if you want to pick a team no one hates or laughs at, find one that never wins championships but always makes the playoffs, but never a championship.

Oh oh, final interesting stat: In the last 10 years 9 times either the Pats, Colts, or Steelers won the AFC. In the last 10 years, every NFC winner has been different. Pretty cool. Always felt AFC was much more competative and had better teams, but seems the NFC is probably more competitive. But AFC has won 7 out of 10 superbowls.

by geo location I'm a browns fan. not die hard, but also close to PA. So you get a lot of trash talking steelers fans. I'm a huge college fan and I'll admit I'll watch the browns play whenever I can. I just think steelers fans are douches and I'm not a fan of their QB, although I think Ward is a good guy.

Technically speaking, Steelers fans have a reputation for taking their team too seriously and can kind of behave like douches.  Sometimes it can be funny identifying myself as an OSU fan and a Steelers fan (no offense, but there are a lot of Buckeye fans that give us the same reputation as Steelers fans).  Everyone just has to remember that Football is there for fun and is not srs business.

That being said, it is very hard to root for a guy like Big Ben, and while he certainly is a pretty good QB, I agree with him not really being top 10 status.

Oh I have no doubt OSU fans (myself at times) or any fan for whatever team can be dbags. I mean look at the LSU fans. <i kid, i kid>. Growing up in NE ohio though you get the browns suck but you cheer them on and the steelers are the devil. I think BB is a good QB, but like you said not a great one. I think the steeler's D is what wins them games.
