Boise State FTW..... and they did lay down the challange to fly to any big BCS market at their expence to show them how to play football. Hu no takers i wonder why.
Arctic, I have just one question: how in the hell do you watch games being played on that damned blue field without up-chucking? That field is some sort of unnatural sin that only a German scientist could come up with.

For you, those herpes are the southern mindset that you're all superior to northerners, which I think we settled a long time ago in a little round of fisticuffs called the War of Northern Aggression.

The sneer is gone from Nightstalker's lip, his teeth are clenched in hate;
He pounds with cruel violence his bat upon the plate.
And now the pitcher holds the ball, and now he lets it go,
And now the air is shattered by the force of Nightstalker's blow.
Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,
And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout;
But there is no joy in Louisiana - mighty Nightstalker has struck out.

Another Year down, we can convert the thread to NFL playoff discussion if you want?
OSU and FL ended on a good note. LSU lost, but was still played strong and will represent their final rank well. Boise will continue to talk, they did beat Oregon, who didn't help Boise look good by failing to end the year strong. ACC fails as a conference, perhaps Boise should join the ACC, then it would have a chance to run the tables and make it to the national championship, wait ACC stands for Atlantic, nm.
Anyways, FL will probably suck next year with a throwing quarterback and no WRs. But I can take comfort USC had the worst year in their history and went to a really really crappy bowl that would make even FSU look good this year. I think we can all enjoy that, the silence of at least USC not complaining they should be the National Champion. Boise is ruining it though...

OMG gunshots and fireworks going off here like crazy.
I feel bad for Favre though, i'd like for both of these teams to have been in the SB, just not possible

A hurricane with a Superbowl trophy
I think for me whichever team had won, it would have felt like a bittersweet victory, which it does.
I would have liked for Favre to have gone out with a Superbowl win. At the same time I can't help but appreciate what the Saints have done this season, which has been long overdue for this state.
I'd hope Favre would come back next year and win a SB, and put a capstone on the career of a man who refuses to surrender.

Saints targeted his body too much. It was a good game can't complain. Not happy with outcome, but it was a bad night for the vikings, way to many turnovers. The fact they came so close to winning it says something. Colts defense is slightly better then vikings, so as long as the Colts don't grease their hands like Peterson should be a mildly calm win for the Colts.

This.
5 hits in the first quarter after the ball had firmly left his hands. Hell if I remember right one of those was after he had thrown the ball and was back at the bench grabbing some gatorade. Saints played a dirty first half.
On another note, how many references have there been made down there to the whole "Saints come marching in" thing Night?

Well it's been more about "Who Dat".
We also got a free Mardis Gras on Bourbon street last night which was pretty cool.
