this weeks office veiw. Just to rub it in I could see the grand Tetons form my hotel room but the pic looked like shit with my phone camera, going back in 2 weeks plan on bring my other camera just because.

So, yesterday at work, we were forced to evacuate for over 3 hours because someone left a 'presentation training' device plugged in inside an empty conference room. The rent-a-cops saw it and called the PD, they came out and said it was credible, and evacuated two wings of our building and brought in the bomb squad. Apparently the thing had a lot of clocks and exposed wires and looked pretty legit.

For those of you who don't know how big my building is, there is more square footage in it than the Pentagon, and during a normal work day houses around 10,000 people. There are 4 wings, and only two were evacuated, which means about 5,000 people were left inside to worry about their lives while I got to go eat at El Vaq and walk around the mall!

I evacuated to, then wasn't allowed back in when my boss started screaming at us over the phone for fleeing the building when everyone else did. A few toilers in my group actually stayed at their desks. Call me nuts, but if I see a mass exodus and hear alarms I am going to get out of the building before I try to figure out what is going on.

On the plus side, I got to call my consulting firm and ask them what proper business etiquette was during a bomb threat.

well...at work today I had to take on the supervisor postion. Never mind i'm not trained for it....but i think fir the lunch hour i "supervised" for i get an extra $1.60...yeah, totally not worth it...but on the plus side...i get to tell people what to do

I actually accidentally walked into 3E this morning. I was at my sister's until 2 last night trying to make her Mac not suck, which is impossible. Needless to say, after 4 hours of sleep I was running on reserves and walked out the wrong corner of the L lot and didn't even notics until I got to the top of the stairwell which was the 3rd floor. I work on the 4th floor........ Great morning so far! But screw it, I'm out at noon
