ROFL that chick is awesome.

Real nice subtle way of saying "Fuck you" to PETA and other sensitive pussies on the left.

Happy Thanksgiving.

I've never butchered a turkey before.  Was that contraption just for draining the blood or did it do the killing too?

pretty sure it was alive at the start of the video. Probably both.

Odd though, when my dad raised turkeys and killed them, they just took an axe to the neck on a chopping block. Maybe thats a professional turkey killing machine.

I watched it again.  The second bird is definately alive at first.  It gives a twitch at 2:17.

Or maybe its just the guy shaking it.  I guess I can't really tell.  What do they do with all the turkey blood?

Here's a blurred out YouTube version:

[yt=425,350]nJd_vm9VhpU[/yt]

After reviewing the tape in full-screen mode, I'm thinking that they pull the head through the bottom of the funnel then slit the throat and let it bleed out.  This would explain several things:

1) the first turkey dude pulls out still has a head
2) animals don't die instantly from a severed jugular (people either, in my experience) and will fight til they finally bite the dust
3) there's a big, blood-covered trough below the funnel
4) dude's pants have blood all over them

Wow, censorship makes that video even more awesome than it was in the first place.

Suite.

Of course it had to be MSNBC to plug this one.. lmao, the great turkey killing mistress.

I honestly think she knew what she was doing, and was intentionally fucking with the left. Pretty damn funny IMO

I think you give her too much credit, Night.  She's not that smart.

She knew what she was doing, the key is she didn't really care. She's a 'country' girl so to speak and killing turkeys 'aint no thang' as it were.  It's probably not the most humane way to do it but it beats the way we used to kill sickly chickens on my farm; i.e. grabbing them by the feet and whacking their heads against a concrete ledge a time or two.

How about some more fun chicken facts!

Fact: Every batch of chickens had the points ground off of their beaks by a large grinding wheel. This sometimes removes a bit of their tongues.

Fact: If the chickens were getting sick at a higher rate we took a sample size of 12 and cut the heads off with a small knife to get blood samples

Fact: Chickens would routinely eat so much that they built up a ball of feed in their throats and suffocated

Fact: If a chicken sees blood on another chicken, they will peck at the sore until they kill the other chicken. (hence the beak grinding)

Fact: Chickens are delicious.

Oh man, you reminded me of my visit to a chicken farm.  70,000 chickens on the second floor, 4 feet of chicken shit on the first.  It was the worst smell that I've ever experience.  They're still delicious.
