Why is it that both the unread list on my home page and the Show Unread link on the left only show several unread/updated threads, but if I navigate through the individual forums there's a slew of unread/updated ones? I didn't see a setting in my profile regarding this, but that doesn't mean I didn't overlook it.

It only shows a certain number of the updated unread ones. As more pile up some of them fall off of the list. I have a ton of unread ones that happened before I ever got a forum account.

I'd understand if the list was full and some were being omitted for space reasons, but I have just as many read threads listed on the main page as unread and when I follow the Unread link it only shows about 4 ATM.
It appears I don't have an All Unread button using the Helios_Multi TP skin.

This has nothing to do with Troyer's question. I can't help applauding Troyer's avatar, but then I see Rands, and I have to applaud it as well. Karma inflation. Oh and then I have to go find one of Night's posts and smite his vagisil-smeared ass.

OK... technically there are two unread lists. The Show Unread link will only show you the newest unread messages since your last visit. When this list is on your sceen you will see a All Unread Topics link on the bottom right of the list. This list will show you every message unread going back as far as you have unread messages.
Does that help?

I checked the All Unread Topics via the Show Unread link and it shows me the exact same list of 6 threads sans the bar at the bottom that holds the All Unread Topics link...
Any other thoughts?
