Not necessarily true, Phelps trained in Ann Arbor (Club Wolverine) for the past 4 years, but he's listed as a Maryland resident.
So your theory is somewhat flawed my friend.

Well, We'll see a lot more Idaho resident in the Winter Olympics.
Oh, and Monterey California is a nice place to live, if you can afford it. The restaraunts there are great and the people aren't all pricks. Plus, they filmed Star Trek IV at the aquarium in Monterey, but claimed it was in SF.

I think it's where they were born and raised, not where they train, per my example of Phelps. That's all I'm saying.
