I had a long reply typed for this but I'll just make 3 small points.

1.  U of M starts pussies - explains why you lose

2. OSU buys their players - that's obvious, look how many times we've gotten busted for it. I'm sure U of M doesn't throw money at anything.

3. I have no idea what you are talking about. Show me where it says the shoe no longer serves ice.  And even if they don't, does that mean if we sold ice at the stadium U o M could beat the buckeyes? I question your team and you question our beverage policy.

1.)  #1 All Time Victories and Win% (Division 1, lowest in % 1-AA)

2.)  Something about Maurice Clarett and stereo equipment comes to mind....

3.)  Because the 1 senior that graduated had the recipe.

and how did you do the past couple of years? I respect their winning record, but even you have to admit that have done dick in the past few years. Especially against OSU. and when was the last time a new coach at U of M had a winning record.

U of M players:  Its fun when you think your shit doesn't stink. OSU has its bad eggs, so does every school who has a team.

Carson Butler, and Christian Richards III - assault 2007

Let's not get too high on our horse here.  That's Stu's job.  Every team has horrible fans.  You know why?  Because fans are made up of people, and people are fucking intolerable.  For the record, Clarett has been disowned by the OSU community despite his amazing season and a halfish.  Here's some proof that Clarett's antics were hardly the worst thing to happen within the realm of college football:

I could keep going if you want, but I doubt anyone will actually read through half of those.  Oddly, I could only find a couple incidents involving Penn State players.  I guess they're just as tame off the field as they are on!  BA-DUM-CHA!  HAVE AT YOU HAWKES!

Yeah, this season should be interesting for LSU seeing as how Ryan P. was removed from the team as quarterback, and suspended from LSU on account of misconduct. On top of that we lost all of our clutch seniors, so hopefully at least we stay above .500. Alabama may very well be the powerhouse in our conference.

Past couple of years?  11-2, 9-4.....my math.... 20-6 err 76% win percentage (74% All-Time) .  33 Consecutive Bowl Games (which is longest streak)....I'll take that.

You forgot about our Peeping Tom (Larry Harrison)

See 4th link in my post above.

Never said our shit don't stink, all I'm saying is no one ever beats us, we find ways to lose.

That's the silliest statement ever.  You're claiming that no one has ever bested Michigan on the football field, only that they've shot themselves in the foot.  That's ridiculous and I'm calling shenanigans.

Lastly, and this is a personal anecdote:  The thing that makes fans so horrible is the tendency to take something as trivial as a college (or professional, as exemplified by Steelers and Raiders fans) sports team and become so emotionally attached to it that the mental line between them (the team) and us (the fans) becomes blurred and, all too often, totally erased.  I constantly hear shit like "We are soooo gonna kick the shit out of [whoever] this year" or "We really stomped a mudhole in their ass!!!".  Really?  Are you personally going to suit up, take the field, and play a key role in beating [whoever]?  Did you, yourself, go out there and use your foot as a tamping bar to smash someone in the anus until it resembled a hole full of mud?  Now I understand that in many cases this is a harmless misuse of pronouns that the speaker is using to simplify conversation.  The danger, however, is with people who forget to, or refuse to make the distinction between themselves and the team.  They are the team.  We are the fans.  We want them (the team) to do well but let's not forget that this is, after all, a game.  Like Yahtzee.

For the record, this is coming from an OSU alum, current staff member, and guy who goes by the tag Jim Tressel.  Let's keep it real folks.

Obviously you coudn't couldn't sense the sarcasim.  I was trying to illustrate the stereotypical U of M arrogance, my bad for giving the thread more credit than I should have.
