There's a difference between your chiding and overtly trying to antagonize people by proving how much of an ass you can be.

We get it -- our team lost.  Thanks.  You're brilliant; you only made the same choice as 95% of the sportswriters in the US.  Congratulations to Night and the rest of the LSU fans who rooted for the team BEFORE they were ranked #2.

Eh certainly not 95%. i'd say 40% for LSU, 30% for OSU. The other 30% was divided between 20% for USC and 10% for Georgia, believing both or either of those teams should be in the NC.

Just once i'd like to see LSU vs USC so we can shut those mouths up.

The votes and opinions that were in favor of OSU were deserved. LSU can show up OSU on man to man, but if we couldnt contain C. Wells then yall were going to run up on us hard. Fortunatly we were able to.

Aside from that we had alot of talent and not just starters. We had 5 RB that could make explosive plays and we could always rotate through them to keep them fresh so that was key. On top of that if we needed positive yards or a first down just throw in Hester and its like a guarantee'd first down that dude is a beast. Dropped the ball ONCE in his college career.

Other than that its still no small task for a team to make it to the NC back to back years. I'm one of those that believe SEC is the dominant division across the board, but alot of the games really can be paper / rock / scissors in regards of the style of offenses / defenses and coaching philosophy that can offset division differentials.

We were out-played, simple as that.  LSU stopped the run.  OSU couldnt stop Hester.  The o-line couldnt give Boeckman protection...and Boeckman couldnt stop handing the ball back to LSU.

LSU deserved the win.  My hats off to their coaching and effort.

felty..... that's funny.  anyway, since you don't know me personally you can ask JT where my ball breaking comes from.  personally, I could give a rats ass about college football, but I do like to break JT's balls only because my wife is a Penn Stater.  I went to Villanova University and the only thing good I can say about that is Westbrook.

Way to generalize, dipshit.  I've never talked shit about OSU because I barely care how the Buckeyes do.   - Oooh, yes, I used the word loathe.  Superb reuse. -   You're not supposed to feel bad, you're supposed to feel like a jackass.  Arrogant in victory?  That's certainly the pot calling the kettle black, now isn't it?  I agree with JT.  We were out-played and made some damn stupid mistakes.

As for your high and mighty proclamations about the HD formats; seeing as how the people (yes, there's more than just myself) that spoke about Blu-ray and it's craptacularness are both well informed and oddly enough I work in the field also.  How could it be that there's more than one person out there that could work in the same industry AND have knowledge AND an opinion that differs from yours!?  <gasp> <awe>
BTW, I like how you tried to pull in the lashing from your other post as well.  Good inter-thread flaming.
The argument that was made wasn't which one would win, it was which format is better.  I made no claims as to which would win since it's purely about how much money the companies throw at it and which makes better marketing decisions.  HD-DVD is the better format, as you yourself state and nicely glossed over, but it appears that Toshiba and their marketing won't win against the onslaught of funding that Sony's willing to throw at this so they don't end up with another VHS/Beta-esque loss on their hands.  It would be awful if they were to loss another format war...again.  Sony doesn't learn and this time to ensure they don't have to learn or nurse damaged egos they're going to dump trucks full of money of the problem and squash HD-DVD.  We made suggestions made as to which format someone should invest in, but I'm certain that you of all people would never have chanced to make a suggestion yourself before the format war was over...even if Blu-ray wins, which I'm sure it will since all of the studios have fucked the consumers and the HD-DVD consortium and chosen Blu-ray.  You can complain about the models compared, but the fact is that the cheapest player for the Blu-ray format is significantly higher than the cheapest HD-DVD player which will put it out of the reach of many homes.  In addition, Sony only released the specs for how to make a player that reads the discs.  No mandates were made to ensure that every player will support all of the features so your precious Blu-ray player might not play that swanky PIP commentary option.  Ooops.  Oh well, if they win, why would they care?  The consumers are at their mercy for HD content on disc.  I don't see how not having a 1080p player at launch is a major arguable point since the saturation of sets that can display 1080p, not 1080i, is so exceptionally low.  Early adopters are the ones willing to drop a grand on a player and I don't see why we should feel bad for them if they have problems.  They're early adopters.  Everything has issues at the beginning and they're taking the chance of their own free will.  Are you going to feel bad for everyone that bought a pre-DLP screen that runs the risk of burn-in?  Furthermoe, are you suggesting that economics is to blame that the players came down in price after the early adopters bought them, and at the holidays?  Nothing csts the same over time.  The reason the HD-DVD market is cheaper is because NONE of the manufacturers for the discs had to spend millions of dollars retooling their factories to produce the new discs.  The laser that HD-DVD uses and the HD-DVD discs can be made on existing machinery whereas Blu-ray requires scrapping all of the factory and remachining it for the new fantastic Blu-ray format.  I have no remose for buying a player early nor have i bitched about it once.  I'm just sad that it looks like the worse format is going to win and I'll have to line Sony's pockets for an inferior product.  It's nice to see that you'd rather take a jab at those that chose the HD-DVD format and were willing to make an investment in order to try to back their chosen format than to have listened to your all-knowing wisdom and followed your decree for the bestest product.  At the beginning there was no clear winner.  The war was neck and neck up until just recently.  F Warner Brothers, F Sony, F Blu-ray, and F you.
Way to troll the forums.  I love nothing better than for some annoying shit to sit idle and then pop-up just to inflame the masses.  As you put it, you are a prick and a smartass.

Love,
Troyer
