I'm going to have to grab some Sitar for lunch tomorrow after finding this one...

http://ww.smashits.com/music/hindi-film/songs/1325/maine-pyar-kiya.html

You will want to click on the song "Mere Rang Mein Rangne Wali."

You will want to play the air sitar.

You will want to beta test Sitar Hero III.

You must obey the Dance Commander.

You must obey the Dance Commander.

You must obey the Dance Commander.

You must obey the Dance Commander.

I'm going to tell you anyway.

There's been an Indian restaurant near the University for at least a dozen years.  Once, it was Bombay Cuisine.  It has also been India Palace.  Now it is Sitar.  Each incarnation has had the ubiquitous lunch buffet.  There's almost always daal makni, some type of curry chicken, tandoori chicken, naan, pakoras, and gulab jamun and kheer for desert.  Now.  They redecorate the place a little bit with each renaming.  They try different music systems out.  One of the incarnations had TVs playing MTV India.  And then sometimes they just have Bollywood music of all eras piped in.  One of those days, a familiar melody drifted in the back ground.  An unmistakeable tune, an opera of our time shipshaped into world music form.

Now.  There exists a person or persons on the internet who have purpose greater than Clinton, greater than Obama, greater even than Bush.  The list.  THE list!  Ine one location, ALL known covers of "The Final Countdown."  A google of  Mere Rang Mein Rangne Wali later...nirvana.

Namaste, JT, namaste.

For that movie trailer above.....there's a scene where he is doing a pommel horse routine on a log, out in the woods with the sun half-shining through.  I would almost pay money to someone who can correctly guess the movie reference that that comes from.  You're going to have to dig DEEP into the movie memory banks for that one.

YOU ARE NOT PREPARED!!!!

That wouldn't be Gymkata would it?  All I remember about that movie is really bad acting, chopping wood, and something about Star Wars.

NICE!!  I wasn't sure if anyone would get the reference or not.  It takes a very deep movie memory to get that one....GOLD STAR FOR JT!!!

Couple things.

I fixed the second link to truly reveal the truth I received at OSU last night.  Ain't none of y'all correct me by my word.

And how did Kurt Thomas take over my Indian remix thread?  (Other than a combination of hymnastics and kara-te...)

Why combine gymnastics with karate when you can combine instead crane operation and karate?  (And do it in India, of course.)
