The former Hotdog eating contest champion Takeru Kobayashi was arrested Saturday.

Apparently he had been barred from the contest because he couldn't work out a contract with the food eating contest administration, and when he showed up at the end of the tournament, fans spotted him and started chanting "Let him eat!", to which he grew emboldened and stormed the stage suspecting the contest administration might allow him to enter as a last participant.
