Could always talk about how year to year OSU is overrated. It's sad considering that folks in 49 states, U.S. territories, and internationally already know this, but the reality is that all they need to do is win out against their highschool team opponents and hope for Bama or FSU to take a loss to their strength of schedule, in which they could just sneak into a championship.

Of course we know once there, they'll just waste everyone's time with a loss, and some other more deserving team will have lost a shot at the championship.

But Ohio State shouldn't have been there in the first place.

Miami deserved to be there because their season included such powerhouses as Florida A&M, Temple, Boston College, Connecticut, West Virginia, Rutgers, Tennessee, and Syracuse.  But why wasn't LSU invited to play?  I mean, they were busy that season playing such dominant forces in Collegiate football as The Citadel, Miami of Ohio, Mississippi State, Louisiana-Lafayette, South Carolina (a 5-7 team at the time), Kentucky, Auburn (9-4 that year), Arkansas (9-5),  and Ole Miss (7-6).

But that was a long time ago, how about this year?
8/31/13 - Beat 20th ranked TCU 37-27
9/7/13 - Beat HS team UAB (currently 2-7) 56-17
9/14/13 - Beat HS team Kent State (2-8) 45-13
9/21/13 - Beat unranked Auburn 35-21
9/28/13 - Lost to a very tough 9th ranked Georgia 41-44
10/5/13 - Beat HS team Mississippi State (4-5) 59-26
10/12/13 - Beat 17th ranked Florida (4-5) 17-6
10/19/13 - Lost to HS team Ole Miss (6-3) 24-27
10/26/13 - Beat HS team Furman (5-5) 48-16
11/9/13 - Lost (badly) to #1 ranked Alabama 17-38

And we all know how OSU matches up out of conference. They always get slaughtered by SEC teams.

Guys I need your help on this one; Do I root for SEC Auburn, which is the conference where the best football in the country is played.

Or do I root for Florida State, which is coached by Jimbo Fisher, who was Offensive Coordinator at LSU, and instrumental in driving them to National Championship level?

Jimbo has done a fantastic job in translating that experience at FSU, bringing them up to a SEC level, with the doctrine he has instilled, which he learned from his time at LSU, and the recruiting he has done.

I think it should be a great game either way, and I've got loyalties on both teams, so its really a win win.


What will be interesting to see is who Bama gets matched up with. Wouldn't be fantastic if it was against a routed Ohio State team? AHAHAH!
