Title: Android apps Post by: thrun on December 06, 2010, 03:04:10 PM Ok, I finally broke down and got a smart phone like a big boy.
So far I have been dicking around with Google Goggles, a police scanner, dropbox, pandora, and communications type apps like skype, and chat stuff. Any of you android users have advice on applications you love and use all the time? Title: Re: Android apps Post by: Redbear8 on December 06, 2010, 04:28:01 PM Angry Birds. Best app you'll ever need. It's free as well if I'm not mistaken. It was when I got it.
Also, some sort of background app killer, tap it before you go into standby and increase your battery life a ton. Title: Re: Android apps Post by: Varg on December 07, 2010, 12:04:37 AM mp3download

Thanks for all the other advice though. http://androidspin.com/2010/05/25/why-you-dont-need-a-task-killer-app-with-android/ Title: Re: Android apps Post by: gr0n on December 07, 2010, 09:44:33 PM As an Android OS user for over a year now, I will say the devs can suck it. You might want a task killer. Sometimes the apps behave badly enough that killing them and starting them cleanly is the way to go. YMMV.
Title: Re: Android apps Post by: thrun on December 08, 2010, 04:32:27 AM Fair enough, the file manager I settled on has a task manager built in as well. ES file explorer, you may want to check it out if you haven't.
You can browse local, lan and FTP all from the same interface. Has a few other features such as the task manager I mentioned. Title: Re: Android apps Post by: thrun on December 13, 2010, 02:00:23 PM Winamp for Android, wireless syncing with my desktop. 'nuff said.
