I may pick this one up, maybe not. Depends how much I dig FFXIV. I am keeping my eye on it though.

I thought the first Guild Wars play and graphics were far better than WoW, though I was pissed at the level 20 cap.

The best thing is FREE online play.

so?

There's alot of free online games. Diablo 3 is going to be free online. Plenty of WoW clones are free online AND free, i.e. RoM.

Yeah but alot of them suck.

Really doesn't matter what the levelcap is as long as the endgame content is good enough.

I just wish they would reboot the Police Quest series.

Also, I want an update of Lost in Time, Inca, and Inca 2.  They were predecessors to the Myst series and occupied many hours of my childhood, along with trying to get my fucking roads to connect properly in Sim City 2000 and plagiarizing Microsoft Encarta in my schoolwork.

If anyone is interested in revisiting the old games from their youts (as Stu would pronounce it), check out www.abandonia.com (http://www.abandonia.com/).  They have full, non-hacked games that are so old that the production companies either don't exist anymore or don't care about the copyright.

Night, I'm well aware of there being other free games coming out or already in existence. This thread, however, is titled "Guild Wars 2" and not "EVERY GOOD LOOKING FREE GAME IN EXISTENCE OMG!!!!1!!"

Nice try though.

That is a pretty sweet link JT.

Point being?

Its no biggie that a game is free monthly. It's just bad buisiness that a game like WoW is monthly. Not bad for them however, just bad that the drones continue to give credence to that buisiness model by reupping the subs.

I guess its not too bad considering they do good updates on content, however for such titles as SWG or PS, where the content is no longer updated, nor are bugs and cheaters corrected, its really a shitty practice.

Whereas now the format of F2P or cashshops allows an opportunity to generate continual revenue without running off a player base that is unwilling to pay for subscription.

At least SOE has considered those new options with the next PS, so they are capable of learning something.
