Title: Caprica
Post by: Nightstalker on February 21, 2010, 07:48:54 AM
For anyone that followed the BSG series, Caprica is set to the theme.

http://www.hulu.com/caprica?c=Science-Fiction

Essentially a prequal series, it has bio and background leading up to the events of BSG timeframe. Including some ancestors, such as Adama's Grandfather etc, and background on the initial creation of Cylons, as well as explainations for the monotheism/polytheism feud in BSG.

Not a bad series, which features Eric Stoltz among a few other noteables.

The series is just starting, and Hulu has the pilot movie on up to episode 4 which is about current.

I got couple more episodes left in me then will drop it from season pass. It just moves too slow. The pilot to get lots of interest basically jumped all the way half way into what normally would be the first season, and now they have basically only covered one episode of material to even it out. Anyways that time slot is open so will probably keep recording it.

Well, fortunately if that time slot gets filled up you could always just check it out on Hulu.

I guess the series works best for you, if you are trying to find out more on BSG.

The episode this week was much better. While I hate to think it might turn into The Matrix. The cool thing about this weeks episode I liked is how there seems to be two seperate developments for the Cylons. The chick that is basically becoming Neo is like the back-end resurrection hub operating system, learning all the ways to screw with the computer code. Where the robot chick is like the growth of the outside foot soldiers.

Yeah pretty interesting.

I like how we get to see the dirty side of the Adama family.

I can't wait to see some bio into Baltar's family, as you know it has to be headed that way at some point.

Its funny, i dint think i really grasped the monotheism vs polytheism theme in BSG, but I get it with Caprica -at least i think i do.
Absolutism vs Diversity.

or thats not it at all and i should just find "weekend at bernies" on instant view via Netfilx and eat some funyuns.

Well, i'm pretty sure Caprica is the launchpoint at which to explain that and other things for BSG
