I played on my friend's account for a bit. The server crashed a little bit after I got out of the tutorial. Apparently the server is like WoW was when it came out and it either lags or is down more than it's up.

The game itself seems alright. Skills are pretty cool. No class system so you can make hybrids but I think most characters will devolve into either rifle, pistol or melee specialists. Not sure if mutations are more varied than that as I didn't get to play for more than a few hours before it crashed. Crafting is great. Harvesting is kinda like WoW, you just go around and gather nodes, harvest from dead corpses, whatever. Once you have the materials you just start a crafting queue and then let it tick down. Some items can take more than a week to make I think.

They're gonna be giving out trial keys on MMORPG.com and stuff in a few weeks, 15 day trials. I think I'm gonna wait til that happens and see if the server crashing is fixed. No point in playing right now when the server is usually down during primetime.

Not digging this game at all.  Like the premise, but it's just not delivering.  Lag, animations arent really great, vehicle physics is non existant, and spent hours on one quest trying to gather some stupid fucking thing.  Sound is f'd up, if theres a fight on one side of a crater, and you're on the other, it sounds like its right next to you. 

Think this one is out for me...waste of 50 bucks for now, maybe they can improve it and I'll check it out again.

Nope been released for a few months from what I gather.  It has potential, but I don't have time for potential to be honest. With my limited game time I want to play something that has a bit more polish.  To that end, and with my addiction to all things post apocalyptic, I bought fallout 3 and am finally playing that now that I have a machine that will run it.

Haven't made it to the store to check out borderlands yet though.  Not sure if another 60 bucks for a game is in the budget for a couple weeks.

Hold off til MW2.  I want to shoot your tra-la-la again.
