Title: FFXI [the old/current game] - 2 week free trial
Post by: gr0n on September 14, 2009, 07:19:24 PM
Some of us (idiotically) are playing the FFXI free trial (yes, the old game) because we are sick of WoW and want something to tide us over until something new comes along.  We may just drop it again after the free trial is up after we remember why we quit in the first place.

BTW, there are Vista compatibility issues with the Playonline client.  You will have to download the new Vista version.

I wish they had a transfer system like WoW. Right now we're just putzing around on Ramuh. If we resub I wouldnt mind going to our old server on Carbuncle. Re-leveling would suck balls :)

If I can recover my old playonline ID and if we get a static of at least 4 members I'll probably re-sub.

I am setting up an email thread now where we can discuss this and other gay shit

I don't care about restarting a guy since there won't be as many people trying to get the shit we are trying to get

My skill vastly surpasses anything you've got. You know this to be true. Don't make my physically put you in your place.

We are now re-subbed and playing fo-real.  We are up to about 6 peeps in the linkshell now.  Picking up an extra player or two in a group when we're short has been fairly easy.  There's a lot of pretty decent players on our server...we've only ran into a couple of asshats.  Leveling is much, much quicker than when we played before (in 2004).
