Here is what would make this game awesome. If it had your "jump to lightspeed" option. And each planet in the "galaxy" was a realm, similar to WoW realms. The difference being  you can move seemlessly realm to realm via space travel. ;)  Obviously planets like Tattooine and Coruscant would be over populated etc. But who knows....

i think i'm game for it.

if its anything like swg, then the republic side (in swg the rebels) will be far less than the sith.

I was in beta for SWG,i didn't last long after the release..I'm a bit skeptical about this one.

this. although i was not in the beta, swg sucked bad and died. so i am skeptical as well. although the trailer they put together is pretty damn sexy...

Bioware's track record in 100000000000000000000000 times better than Sony's....so the whole "I'm skeptical" is not applicable since it's not the same developers.....Bioware is the shiz

Hmm....probably be the same if not worse than WAR.

If war taxed your graphics card you'll likely need to invest in a new one for Old Republic....

Thats what I was assuming, so depending on when this comes out I might or might not be playing for awhile.  My wife's company does a computer allowance once every 3 years and 2010 I get to upgrade the desktop that we have and should be able to play then.  With them not having basic computer specs and such I'm assuming its probably going to be an 2010 release so I should be fine.

I have an idea: Get TF2!

I may check it out if there is a free trial, but I'm not allowed to drop cash on something I might not play. We'll see how things go when it comes out, though. It looks pretty friggin' sweet.
