Don't get me wrong, John Petrucci is a guitar god, but Dream Theater's 20 minute long "songs" get old after the first 10 minutes.  Portnoy is a helluva drummer as well.  James LaBrie is fucking annoying.  Fact.

This saddens me,  have you listened to much of their old stuff? it is much less annoying when he isn't trying to sing metal. I wont accept that he is a bad singer, just bad at their current genera.

When I want 20 minute songs I think Yob/Sleep/Om/Burried at Sea, but that's just my 2 cents.

i suppose you are entitled to your opinion. But i dont see how YOU not likeing LaBrie has anything to do with them being self indulgent and over the top...

Portnoy is an amazing drummer...he plays poker with Howard Stern....he is also rumored to be doing a side project with Mikael Akerfeldt....who is 100000 times superior to James LaGay.
