Title: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas (NSFW sometimes) Post by: Unnormal on August 26, 2008, 01:17:34 AM We have bullshitted about this before but it is about time it goes down. Damn it im getting to old! few more years and I wont be able to respect myself after a week long binge and knocking up a couple hookers. I want feedback on what dates would be best by everyone!
And any and all hotel ideas.. Courtesy of Varg= http://www.vegasexperience.com/ I was thinking this coming late spring early summer so those of us who take classes will be out, and all of us fulltime workers can ask off. Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: Juggz on August 26, 2008, 01:29:54 AM I'm in. I'm thinking early summer will be the best price-wise...spring time is peak season. If we stay on the strip, I've stayed at Luxor (not the best) and Caesars Palace (very nice, but pricey). Not stayed anywhere else. I've heard that Hard Rock is a nice place; it's off the strip so prices may be better.
As we get close, I'll start getting more solid details. I know that golf (at least for me) is one of those activities I will be definitely be planning ;) Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: Juggz on August 26, 2008, 01:40:15 AM I got a pic...but i can't upload it because the upload folder is full....and I don't know how to display the pic within the post like snacks does...wisdom for a brutha?
Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: Nightstalker on August 26, 2008, 02:06:11 AM Drunken golf could be fucking awesome. Especially for those of us who cant play.

Quote If O.J. Simpson is concerned about his most recent brush with the law, it was not apparent Saturday as the former NFL star lounged poolside at the Palms Hotel. “I’m not walking around feeling sad or anything. I’ve done nothing wrong,” Simpson told The Times. “I’m having a great time.” Besides, he quipped, “I thought what happens in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas.” Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: Ellanorah on August 26, 2008, 10:12:51 AM ...i'll see how things go money wise...looking to make a trip in maybe Jan...

No vacation time or money would be left over for hookers and vegas.
Let me know if any of you want to come to Alaska with me though.. http://www.worldbeardchampionships.com/ Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: Troyer on August 26, 2008, 12:40:15 PM Okarn and I have stayed at the Monte Carlo before for a spring break trip. It was pretty nice and fairly close to centered on the strip.
We were there right before Paris opened. Cowz and I will have to see if we can afford it as well. We've been talking about hitting Vegas, but money talks louder than I do. Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: Turkley on August 26, 2008, 12:58:28 PM About how much would we be talking for this type of venture?
Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: Varg on August 26, 2008, 12:59:09 PM You guys will be supprised how affordable it is to stay on Fremont Street. I think i paid like 80 a night (might could do better with a group rate), its a lot of fun down there.
Its old school vegas, Golden Nugget, Benions (where they do the world series of poker),Glitter Gultch etc.. Hell the even have a 2 story Dave and Busters. You can buy beer on the street and its only about a 5 min cab ride to the big strip. The big name hotels are a lot more swanky, but if your budget minded, its worth checking into. Just and idea. Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: BCBrent on August 26, 2008, 01:05:30 PM That and the Golden Nugget has some of the best mac and cheese of all time in the buffet. I mean, if you had one little shred of cheese you would legally have to change the name of the dish to cheese and mac.
I'd love to go to vegas again. And yeah fremont street does have some fun places (best place to get drunk). I've stayed at the flamingo and the tropicana. Flamingo is fun but a little pricy, but AWESOME breakfast buffet. Tropicana is for old people, don't do it its a trap. But I'll stay anywhere, preferably places with a good roulette(sp?) table :) Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: Reddawn on August 26, 2008, 01:12:39 PM One place we HAVE to go is this bar called Double Duece lounge....the drink du jour there is called ASS JUICE!!!
I get skeeved out by sketchy hotels.....I'll probably hit Mandalay Bay, Rio's or Venetian Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: Arctic on August 26, 2008, 01:19:26 PM I would make the drive less then 10 hours.
Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: Garenth on August 26, 2008, 01:34:08 PM I don't know if I could swing this or not, I will have to see.
As for a place to stay check out the Westin, its two blocks off the strip and a little quiter and cheaper than the main strip hotels. The beds rock though and your only two blocks from hitting the Flamingo and the strip. Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: Ott on August 26, 2008, 01:50:11 PM Varg in Vegas...very dangerous! that is all
Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: Varg on August 26, 2008, 01:53:51 PM Varg in Vegas...very dangerous! that is all LOL, remember the Hard Rock? I dont, lol...Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: Juggz on August 26, 2008, 02:19:29 PM About how much would we be talking for this type of venture? Here's some rough estimates: Plane: $190+ on Frontier (This varies A LOT depending on where you're flying from, when you're flying, etc.) Hotel: I've stayed in places on the strip from $120/night (Luxor) to $250/night (Ceasars). You can stay a lot cheaper off the strip. Meals: Buffets on the strip range from 10 bucks/person for breakfast; 15 bucks/person for lunch to 30/person for dinner. You can eat anywhere in your budget, really. Drinks: Free if you're gambling Gambling: Depends on what you play -- and where. If you plan to gamble A LOT, then I'd take $200-$500 bucks a day. Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: Reddawn on August 26, 2008, 03:33:08 PM I plan on eating every meal at either In N Out, FatBurger or Lindo Michoacan

Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: Unnormal on August 27, 2008, 02:12:34 AM WE WILL HAVE A VOTE ON WHICH HOTEL, EACH WITH LINKS TO THE WEBSITE IF ANYONE HAS ANY OTHER HOTEL IDEAS SAY SO NOW. We dont all have to stay in the same hotel but if we can all agree to it I'll call for group rates and see if we can get a discount as well as it will be a lot more fun that way :-) Anyone who even might come at this point is welcome to put in there vote and ideas.
Oh and we are looking at June of 09 (unless someone has a better idea?) at this point plenty of time to save up some spending money....if your broke just bring 20 bucks and we will gamble our way up. Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: Ellanorah on August 27, 2008, 10:58:05 AM o yeah, huge pluses!
... Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: Varg on August 27, 2008, 01:06:05 PM Yea, group rates would probably be much better than standard ones. I am just going to throw this out there and say that I will probably not be able to afford the venitian, ballagio, or anything else 200+ a night. Just sayin'.
EDIT: I just ran a check for some example group rates (i did may instead of june by accedent, but this is just an example) for 3 nights booking 10 rooms: http://findgroupdeals.hotelplanner.com/Group/GroupDetail.cfm?gid=245000&g=1&CFID=22332570&CFTOKEN=6ca14c544f8df746-FF3A2F9D-15C5-F4C8-3F22A95924CC8023 Stratosphere for 89 dollars a night, Sahara 127, Hooters Hotel and Casino 129. Just a rough idea of what it will cost. Not too bad for the stip. Might be able to find something better, dunno. Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: thrun on August 27, 2008, 01:09:57 PM There's a motel 6 in vegas, just sayin

I don't know why, but I thought you all were talking about a week or something. We could do this over a long weekend and I don't have to use all my vacation! This might end up working out for me.
Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: Varg on August 27, 2008, 01:23:58 PM I have been to vegas 4 times, and i will tell you this, any more that 3 or 4 days and you will be broke as shit and ready to leave.

I totally agree. 2 days and 3 nights is an ideal time, imo. Get in Thurs. night, leave Sunday mid-morning. All you east coast guys could leave after work and still get to Vegas around 7 p.m. I would steer away from the northern part of the strip (like Sahara, Stratosphere, etc.) It's just far from all the new things in the center/southern part of the strip. And old. TBH, the hotel Garenth suggested isn't far from the 'happenings' and would probalby go for under 100 bucks. At least thats how it is for us po folks. But for the people going for the first time, it's quite an experience to stay in a casino. You're gonna be up late and it's so much nicer to be able to stumble to your room than to walk down the street.... Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: Reddawn on August 27, 2008, 02:40:37 PM any longer than 3 days and you will be bored shitless if you arent a degenerate gambler or a dopey broads that aims mindlessly in the stores

Not sure if I will be able to make it, I have taken 4 trips to vegas overall, and only 1 with the missus....don't know if I can swing another one.
Hotel: Sign up at Harrahs.com (I think) and become a gold preferred member. It will allow you to get great deals. I might go to AC or Vegas once a year, and this April I stayed at Bally's from Sunday - Wednesday and it cost me $0.00. I will post a pic I took from my window....not too shabby. Harrah's is the mothership - they have like 12 casino's in Vegas, all with room deals all the time and you dont have to spend big bucks to get ther perks. They want you to come and spend money. Airfare: Southwest is great - I flew there from NC round trip for $250 in April. Meals: who has time? Gambling: Craps - great odds but man it can go quick. Best odds - Poker: you are not playing against the house - just playing against other morons. Rule: if you cant spot the sucker at the table in the first 10 minutes, you're it. Golf: nothing to write home about. I played there 2 years ago, and depending on when you are going it is freakin hot out there. You have to get a cab there and back (pain in the ass and $$$), and to bring your clubs on a flight costs more also - you can rent clubs at most places, but if you are a golfer, thats make spending the cash on the course and everything else not worth it....better off staying in the casino and getting loaded. Beer-no: Best bang for your buck. Step 1: find a Keno lounge. Step 2: sit down and play $2 Keno tickets. Step 3: order drinks from the waitress that comes by. Step 4: rinse and repeat. result: spending maybe $20 over the course of an hour or two and getting a good buzz, and possibly winning some but not losing too much. Apone loves Vegas..... Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: Apone on August 27, 2008, 04:19:27 PM View from the window in my room at Bally's - the fountains from Bellagio are to the right...very cool to see

I'll be getting a car, Red Make sure you get one with a trunk large enough for hauling a body. Oh yeah, and line the trunk with some tarps so you don't get any pesky bloodstains on the nice fabric. Car rental companies usually frown on bodily fluid stains when you return a vehicle. Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: Ellanorah on August 31, 2008, 08:01:56 AM tarps?
tradechat? yes, lets stalk and kill all those 12 yearold trade chat-ers I mean ... Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: ch0wdah on August 31, 2008, 08:47:09 AM I submit to you that Malygos trade chat is insignificant compared to the power of the Force. Create an orc, troll, or tauren on Illidan so you can experience trade chat (disclaimer: I have never really read Alliance trade chat, so feel free to trump me) that's not just people trying to be as cool as Zeaket(more helpful enchanter than Turkley as it turns out). Then you can go to the Barrens to find out what the phrase "Barrens chat" really means. Supposedly, you can get a day ban for saying "anal [Presence of Mind] [Pyroblast]" in trade.

Title: Re: WOLVIE GATHERING : Operation Vegas Post by: Garenth on September 08, 2008, 07:46:00 PM Just found out a childhood friend of mine for many many years works at the Bunny Ranch! Is there a "stay a week get a day free" deal there? And does it cost extra to see the rabbit farm?
Question #4 on the FAQ: Where do I land my helicopter? Question #31: Do you have ladies that lactate? (answer Yes.) Question #37: Do you have She-males? (answer No. See strap-on for details.) And I didn't see half these folks on that Cathouse HBO show.
