I'll consider it...but I'm not a fanboy by any stretch.  It has to win me over on its merits.

Exactly... much the same as a woman of 40+ years who is divorced with two children and happens to be in the same bar as Turk is not necessarily enough.  She must win him over with her enthusiasm, ability to procure Bud Light and willingness to adopt the attitude of "screw it, let's do this".

Apple has been advertising the iphone as 300 bucks....well they left out the fact.....for almost a month....that the only people who get it for that are new customers and original iphone customers.

$500 for me.

Because new customers are better than old customers! 

I'm sure if you raised enough hell they would give it to you at some sort of discount

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that's just one more reason to validify my stand point of 'F Apple'.

Don't they give you credit toward an upgrade?

Apple could have asterisked the price since June 9th....instead they made everyone believe it was going to be $300 and then less than a week they announce it's 500 to existing customers that have upgraded their phone in the past two years.

Hence....F Apple and AT&T

not to throw fuel on the fire, but isn't that the way it is with ALL cellphone providers. They aren't going to give you a new phone unless you are a new customer or have an upgradeable phone. Just sayin'

yes...and for the third time for the reading comprehension challenged....I am just mad they never told us the right price in the first place. They advertised it for $200 and $300. So as far as anyone knew it was going to be 200 and 300 respectively. They never put an asterisk on it stating it was for new customers only and people with available upgrades. So to spring it a week before the onsale is horseshit. If they would have come out and advertised the true prices at launch people wouldn't have gotten as excited. Now it's wait X amount of time for the upgrade option to open up for spend $500.

Then on top of all that they are jacking up all the phone plans and text plans.

Don't even get me started on if you are a blue customer what they are going to do to you if you want an iphone.
