eh ive been hearing not great stuff from the beta

I played the beta for a bit. I wasnt that impressed with it honestly. It functions basicly you got the subway stations that are the only non instanced areas that you will see other players moving around in. Aside from that the entire game is instanced zones so you wont see any other players. Its basicly trying to copy off Diablo series but into a more FPS type game. I got to about lvl 10 before I got bored with the game sence everything was basicly exactly the same just with a slightly differnt layout. Not worth getting in my honest option. Its a interesting idea but its final product just isnt that impressive.

Well I just got a 2nd beta invite so I guess I have a spare if someone is dieing to give it a try.

Well, damn.  I was looking forward to it, but after that glowing review...

It's like Diablo because it was made by the creators of Diablo.  It has a different flavor then from other RPGs in the fact that it plays more like and FPS, but you have to increase your stats to get better weapons and armor.  It's no WOW, and it's not Half Life2, but it's a nice in between area.  There are a lot of bugs, but it is still in beta, I really recomend you at least check it out.

The single-player demo is out, and I got it all installed.  Took for frikken ever.  It seems pretty fun to me, at least fun enough to buy the game and see where it goes.  Character models look like ass, but then again I'm playing on a laptop (1.8 GHz Core 2 Duo, 2 GB DDR2, Mobility Radeon X1400, Vista Home Premium).  I have a lot of the settings turned down, so nothing looks great.  All in all, I think that people expecting an FPS or Diablo 3 will be disappointed.

I have it turned all the way up and it looks of ass to me. The blademaster was a neat class to play but there was really nothing to keep me playing it. The sharpshooter on the other hand i could only play about 6 min of. The animation of the gun was horrendous enough to make me stop playing.  All in all i may get it a bit after launch but it wont get my money at the end of this month

10 things I learned from the Hellgate:London demo

1.  Screw swods, just gimme a magical cricket bat.
2.  After the Apocalypse, there will be flying vaginas with tentacles floating about.  For those of you who are into those things.
3.  The British will not lose their senses of humor, however they will get even worse.
4.  Whenever you sleep for the night and wake up, the London streets rearrange themselves.
5.  London has more public telephones per capita than anywhere else in the world.
6.  Ditto for mailboxes.
7.  Although exploding barrels and propane tanks will demolish the undead and demons, humans will have become immune to both fire AND shrapnel.
8.  Britain REALLY needs to have a wider selection of automobiles.
9.  Maintenance areas for the London Tube don't actually open up to railways.  They are actually there to serve as storage areas and post-apocalyptic kitchens.
10.  Even with humanity near extinction, they'll still take money to hang crap in the subways.

I played the demo for as far as I could with 4 different characters.  Well, ok...2 swordsmen and 2 marksmen.

I dont mind the gameplay at all.  Its a tad dark, and theres still a few bugs but its not too bad IMO.  I may actually pick it up.

I have a lvl 30 Gaurdian called FoeHammer, I had a level 20 MM called DaveyCrockett, but I hated the skills I choose so recreated so I now have a lvl 10 Marksman.  I also have a Blade Master called DanielBoone, but I never play him.

I bought this recently, and actually am having fun blowing shit up.

It was fun for a while as Marksman, but it got really tedious on the second run through. The weapons were cool.

I played Hellgate when I took a break from wow,,,,it's terrible.
